Following Jesus in Las Vegas means knowing the city
Here's the thing about Las Vegas that most churches never solve: this is a 24-hour city, and a huge share of it works while the rest of America is at Sunday service. Dealers, cocktail servers, cooks, housekeepers, security, nurses, rideshare drivers — Sunday morning is a shift, not a sabbath. A church that only meets Sunday at 10 a.m. is closed exactly when this city is most awake. The Acts 2 church met "day by day" in homes (Acts 2:46), which means it bends around your schedule instead of the other way around. Add in the loneliest math in America — a metro full of transplants and tourists where a lot of people don't know their neighbors — and a living room with the Bible open is worth more here than almost anywhere.

One of the valley's biggest parks — real shade, a lake, picnic ramadas you can reserve. Evening studies here in spring and fall are hard to beat.

How to start a study in your Las Vegas living room
Invite two people
A neighbor, a coworker, family. Start with the people you have. The first believers devoted themselves to teaching, fellowship, meals, and prayer, and they met in homes (Acts 2:42,46).
Open the Gospel of Matthew

Eat together
The first church broke bread in their homes "with glad and sincere hearts" (Acts 2:46). Pizza counts. This matters more than it sounds like it does.

Are there really free Bible studies in Las Vegas?
Yes — in homes around the valley and sometimes at spots like Vesta in the Arts District or Sunrise Coffee on the east side. Free isn't a promotion; charging for the Bible would be strange. 'Freely you have received; freely give' (Matthew 10:8).
Can we meet at a weird hour because of my job?
That's a Vegas specialty. If your day starts at 4 p.m., your study can too. The early church met in homes on no fixed corporate schedule — the point is people gathering around Jesus, not a Sunday time slot. Tell us what works and we'll build around it.
I've never opened a Bible. Where do I start?
