Our doctrinal anchors

We identify Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God (Matthew 16:16; John 20:31). When someone asks how to become a Christian, we give Peter’s answer: believe the message about Jesus, repent, be baptized in His name for forgiveness, and receive the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:36-38). We do not substitute a sinner’s prayer, aisle walk, membership class, or religious attendance.

We describe the church as people devoted to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, shared meals, prayer, direct sharing, and daily life together (Acts 2:42-47). Jesus Saves church collects no money and has no paid staff.

How research is handled

City pages use official government sources for public-water access and safety rules. Volunteer opportunities link to the organization offering the work. Historical articles favor original writings, archival collections, academic research, and the published material of the movement being discussed.

Every outbound link must support a specific sentence or help a reader complete a safe next step. We check the destination, the organization behind it, the page’s current purpose, and whether sending a reader there conflicts with the way of Jesus described on this site. Linking to one page does not endorse every belief, advertisement, comment, or fundraising appeal on the surrounding website.

How public questions become guides

Public discussions can reveal the words people actually use when faith feels confusing. We may paraphrase a question from Reddit or another public forum, link to the original discussion, and answer from the recorded teaching of Jesus and the apostles. We do not copy a person’s story, identify a private individual, or treat forum replies as biblical authority.

These guides do not invent new sayings for Jesus. They ask what His recorded words and actions show, name uncertainty when Scripture does not settle something, and give the reader a practical next step. Links to open forums carry a clear source label because comments may contain advice or doctrine we reject.

How we describe serving

Our service model is person to person. We encourage followers of Jesus to ask God for wisdom, notice the person in front of them, listen, carry a real burden, and return. Friends may serve together when a need is larger. The person receiving care should never become a project or a photograph.

We do not partner with the organizations listed in city guides, work for them, or collect money for them. A trained program can sometimes offer a safe introduction to somebody who wants help. The relationship matters more than completing a shift.

What review means

Each guide is checked for Scripture references, doctrinal consistency, plain language, internal links, metadata, and structured data. City pages are also checked for genuinely local writing. Review dates show when we last made or confirmed a meaningful content update; we do not change dates merely to appear fresh.

Corrections

If a source has moved, a local rule has changed, or we stated something inaccurately, email hi@thejesussaveschurch.com. Include the page and the supporting source. We will check it and correct the page when warranted.
