Jesus Saves church is a global community of Jesus followers modeled on the first church in Acts 2 — before buildings, denominations, and programs. Nobody here is paid. Nobody will ask you for money. We meet wherever people can sit down together, which in Detroit usually means somebody's living room or a table at Detroit Public Library.
The Detroit River belongs to a working international waterway, with shipping traffic and strong current. The city’s neighborhoods spread across a large footprint where a short map distance may still mean a difficult bus trip. Food access, vacant properties, high utility costs, and winter weather affect daily life. Detroit also has unusually strong block clubs, urban farms, mutual-aid habits, and families whose loyalty outlasted decades of bad headlines.
