The International District contains remarkable cultural variety and serious food and housing pressures. The West Mesa keeps growing, while older Barelas and South Valley relationships run deep. Heat, cold nights, transportation, asylum-seeker hospitality, and ditch safety all shape useful service here.

Albuquerque stretches along the Rio Grande with the Sandias holding the eastern horizon. Barelas, the West Mesa, Nob Hill, the International District, and the South Valley do not share one story, language, or commute. A city this old and varied deserves more than a generic religious invitation.
