Walk in the new life
Romans 6:3-4 connects baptism with Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. The person who rises from the water begins a new life. That life is learned one choice at a time. Jesus said His disciples take up the cross daily (Luke 9:23).
Start with the pattern in Acts 2:41-47. Learn what the apostles taught about Jesus. Eat and pray with believers. Let people know your real needs, and make room in your own life for theirs. Meet in homes and ordinary places. Serve people without collecting money or building a religious brand.
Tell the person who baptized you what you need
Ask to read Matthew together. Talk honestly about habits, relationships, and wrongs that need repair. Repentance continues after baptism whenever sin is exposed. Grace does not make hiding useful.
You may feel joyful, quiet, uncertain, or emotionally tired after baptism. Feelings vary. The promise in Acts 2:38-39 rests on God’s word, not on producing a particular sensation. Scripture does not promise that every believer will receive the same sign or experience.
Do one thing Jesus taught
Call someone you need to forgive. Share a meal with somebody who is alone. Give time to a person carrying a heavy burden. If someone asks why you care, explain the love of God demonstrated through Jesus and the hope of His resurrection.
