Jesus Saves church is a global community of Jesus followers modeled on the first church in Acts 2 — before buildings, denominations, and programs. Nobody here is paid. Nobody will ask you for money. We meet wherever people can sit down together, which in Chattanooga usually means somebody's living room or a table at The Camp House.
Chattanooga specifics that shape how we do this. The city is famously churched and quietly divided — Sunday morning remains one of the most segregated hours of the week here, which the Acts 2 model (houses, tables, everybody) simply refuses to inherit. Highland Park, East Lake, and Alton Park carry deep practical need while the North Shore booms two miles away. UTC brings thousands of students downtown. The Tennessee River is the city's front porch, but its current, boat traffic, and changing conditions make a permitted pool or tub the wiser baptism choice.

No — and in a city with a steeple every half mile, that's a feature. The church is people (Acts 2:42-47): porches in St. Elmo, kitchens in Hixson, tables at Coolidge Park. If you want one closer, your living room is available immediately.
I already go to church here. Is this instead of that?
No. If you're following Jesus somewhere on Sundays, wonderful — keep going. What we do is the weekday, around-the-table part the first church had (Acts 2:46, 'every day… in their homes'). Plenty of folks at our tables have a Sunday church; plenty don't. Both belong.
Do you take up an offering?
Never. No plate, no tithe, no building fund, no love offering — nothing. Nobody here is paid. The first church shared person-to-person as anyone had need (Acts 2:44-45), and that's the entire model. In this town that answer surprises people more than anything else we say.
What denomination is this?
None, and around here that takes explaining: not Baptist, not Methodist, not Church of God, not non-denom-megachurch either. Followers of Jesus on the Acts 2 pattern, which predates every one of those. One Lord, one faith, one baptism (Ephesians 4:5).
Y'all aren't one of those groups that shows up and starts arguing, are you?
No. We don't debate on doorsteps, recruit against other churches, or perform. We read the Bible with people, eat, serve, and baptize whoever asks. If arguing were the mission, Jesus would have equipped us differently (John 13:35 — they'll know by the love).
